Leao Sends AC Milan Top of Serie A

Brazilian forward, Rafael Leao, propelled AC Milan to the top of Serie A with a narrow 1-0 victory against Cagliari on Friday.

Adrien Rabiot set up Leao, who fired past Elia Caprile after 50 minutes in Sardinia.

Milan now leads Inter Milan by two points, with Inter set to take on Bologna on Sunday, while third-placed Napoli faces Lazio.

The visitors came out strong after halftime, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek heading over the bar before Leao, who had arrived in Cagliari dealing with a right adductor issue, broke the stalemate after hitting the crossbar just moments earlier.

Christian Pulisic squandered a chance to double the lead with four minutes to go, but the visitors held on to secure all three points, extending their unbeaten streak away from home this season.
