The platform’s top 10 Nigerian artists also include Omah Lay, BNXN, Young Jonn, Rema, and Odumodublvck, reflecting the growing global appeal of Nigerian music.
Burna Boy’s latest achievement adds to his strong performance across global streaming platforms.
The Afrobeats star recently became the African artist with the highest monthly listeners on Spotify, reaching 46.84 million monthly listeners and surpassing South African singer Tyla’s previous record of 46.58 million.
The milestone has been largely powered by the worldwide success of “Dai Dai,” Burna Boy’s collaboration with Colombian superstar Shakira.
The song, chosen as the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, gained global popularity following its performance during the tournament’s opening ceremony, further strengthening Burna Boy’s status as one of Africa’s biggest international music stars.
