Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged to transform the state from a civil service economy into a thriving industrial hub during his second term in office.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with News Central TV, Adeleke reflected on his recent election victory, attributing his success to the trust built through his administration’s performance during his first term.
Adeleke emphasised that his vision centres on economic transformation and sustained infrastructural expansion across the state.
“My vision for Osun State is to—I always hear Osun State is a civil service state. My vision is to make sure that Osun State moves from being a civil service state to an industrial state,” Adeleke stated.
He added that his administration will rely on its established strategic blueprint to drive continuous development across all local councils, including plans to modernise areas like Iwo.

Addressing governance and representation, the governor promised to expand opportunities for women and young people within his cabinet while extending an olive branch to political opponents following the election.
“As long as I’m the governor of Osun State, I’m the governor for all,” Adeleke said, urging citizens across all political affiliations to contribute ideas to advance the state.
Adeleke’s reelection victory secures a second four-year tenure, reinforcing his mandate to govern the southwestern state.
First elected governor of Osun State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in July 2022, Adeleke defeated incumbent Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before taking office in November 2022.
His second-term campaign leaned heavily on public infrastructure projects, civil servant welfare, and grassroots development.
