The Director of Commercial and Communications at News Central TV,    Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan has urged media agencies and advertisers to think beyond audience reach and focus on trust.

Speaking at the 12th Women in Marketing Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA) in Lagos, Egabor-Afolahan said brands must consider what audiences watch, listen to, believe and who they trust.

“Visibility gets you noticed, relevance gets you remembered, but trust gets you chosen. This is the value News Central believe brings to the market,” she said.

Egabor-Afolahan said News Central is “not simply building a television station; we are building a Pan-African brand that understands its audience, tells its story, and creates a platform where brands can participate in conversation and dialogue.”

“We are really not just a media platform, but an audience that trusts us to be there when the issues matter most. So for media agencies, that means another opportunity to reach engaged audiences,” she said.

“For advertisers, it means connecting your brand with credible content and conversations that have meaning.”
