Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, representing the Ethiope Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has urged women and young people in Delta State to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and protect the party’s votes during the 2027 elections.

She made the call on Thursday at the flag-off of the Delta APC campaign in Oleh, themed “Road to 2027: Delta APC Flags Off Campaign in Oleh”.

Ibori-Suenu, who spoke on behalf of women in the state, also addressed young people, noting that women are part of the youth population. She commended supporters for turning out in large numbers to show their support for the party and the state governor.

The lawmaker described the APC as a performing and delivering party, expressing confidence that it would secure victory in the January 16 election and subsequent polls.

However, she stressed that supporters must do more than attend rallies. She urged them to go to their polling units, remain there and ensure that votes are properly counted. She also called on supporters to provide food and water for those who would stay at polling units throughout the voting process.

“We will go to our units. We will stand there to make sure APC wins,” she told the crowd.

Ibori-Suenu said securing electoral victories would strengthen the party’s ability to represent the state’s interests at the national level and sustain the flow of development to Delta State.

She concluded her address by asking women and youths whether they were ready to work for the party’s victory, urging them to remain committed to the campaign.
