Benin’s newly inaugurated President, Romuald Wadagni, has announced the members of his first cabinet following his swearing-in on May 24, 2026.

According to Decree No. 2026-314 issued on the same day, the new administration will comprise 24 members, including 19 ministers and five delegated ministers.

The appointments officially mark the beginning of the country’s new seven-year administration under Wadagni’s leadership, as the new president moves to form his governing team and outline the direction of his government.

-Guard of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Legislation: Yvon Déchénou

-Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of cooperation: Aristide Médenou

-Minister of Foreign Affairs: Corinne Amori Brunet

-Delegated Minister to the President of the Republic, in charge of Interior and Public Security: Djibril Maman Cissé Moussa

-Minister Delegate to the President of the Republic, in charge of National Defence: Gildas Agonkan
