Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis have renewed their warning against using Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, hours after the airport announced plans to resume flights through two terminals.

On Sunday, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the airport remained a “military target”. He warned that the group would continue operations targeting the facility.

Saree also urged airlines, airport staff and travellers to avoid the airport. His warning came after the airport announced plans to designate two terminals for flights following a suspension earlier this month.

The renewed threat raises new concerns about flight operations and safety at the Saudi Arabian airport. However, the supplied report does not specify when the planned terminal arrangements will take effect.
