Ihab Khrizim, a leader of a central Hamas funds transfer network, was killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a strike on Khan Younis, the military said on Thursday.
According to the IDF, Khrizim was responsible for overseeing the transfer of millions of dollars to Hamas’s military wing.
The IDF also said he had continued to violate the ceasefire in recent months and enabled attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.

It added that Hamas unit commander Muhammad al-Habash, who was involved in manufacturing weapons for the group, was killed in the same operation.
Separately, the military said it struck two senior Hamas commanders in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, targeting northern Gaza brigade commander Ezz al-Din Beik and Gaza City deputy brigade commander Imad Aslim, who also serves as commander of the Zeitoun Battalion.
It said the strike took place while the two men were reportedly meeting in the same apartment after emerging from Hamas’s underground tunnel network.
