Liverpool striker Alexander Isak extended his impressive scoring form on Sunday as the club secured a 2-0 victory against Brighton, handing Reds manager Andoni Iraola his first Premier League win at Anfield.
Liverpool broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Florian Wirtz’s strike deflected off Brighton’s Pascal Gross into the net.
Just four minutes later, Bradley Barcola latched onto a long pass from goalkeeper Alisson Becker and set up Isak, who converted cleanly from close range to seal the victory.

The goal marks Isak’s sixth strike in seven league appearances this season, demonstrating his growing impact following his £125 million transfer from Newcastle.
Iraola’s side effectively neutralised Brighton’s attack to claim their fourth consecutive win across all competitions, lifting Liverpool to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Reflecting on the team’s momentum, Iraola praised the composed performance as Liverpool moved within six points of league leaders Manchester City ahead of upcoming fixtures against Chelsea and Arsenal.
