Ronaldinho’s move to Ravenna was first announced in June. He is also a shareholder in the club, which is based between Venice and San Marino.

The former Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan playmaker retired in 2015, a decade after winning the Ballon d’Or. He now hopes to score his 300th goal.

Ravenna currently sit second in Group B of Italy’s third division, six points behind leaders Spezia. The club is aiming to return to Serie B for the first time since 2008.
