The Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, has accepted and accredited Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria’s permanent representative to the United Nations.
He displayed his letter of credence on Monday, April 20, marking the beginning of his posting.
“On April 1, Ibrahim received his letter of credence from the Nigerian Foreign Ministry after being authorised to resume duties”.
According to a statement issued by the senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on media and publicity, Temitope Ajayi, he assured the UN and the global community that Tinubu would resolve generational issues confronting Nigeria.
