The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a clandestine methamphetamine and chemical laboratory in Mowe Village, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, where a special court sitting is being held at the scene to arraign suspects linked to the operation.
During the raid, NDLEA operatives discovered a fully equipped drug-processing laboratory fitted with industrial reactors, chemical kegs, composite materials, glass flasks, beakers, heating mantles, gas burners, tubes, improvised electrical wiring and power generators.

The operation also led to the recovery of large quantities of hazardous waste, liquid methamphetamine, unidentified substances, caustic soda, bottles of volatile solvents, high-precision weighing scales, packaging materials and protective gear.
Officers also reported heavy chemical fumes at the site.
The agency has yet to disclose the number of suspects arrested, the duration of the illegal operation or confirm the full range of illicit substances produced at the laboratory.
