Habib said Kundang was allegedly involved in the killing of 46-year-old Rilwanu Dauda of Karofi.

According to the police, Dauda was attacked and allegedly stabbed on July 5, 2026.

“The victim was rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor at about 1100hrs of the same day,” Habib said.

Following the incident, the police launched a search for the suspects who fled the area and placed them on their watchlist.

The command also alleged that the suspects had been linked to another politically motivated killing in the same area before going into hiding.
