Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has begun his second spell with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Espanyol in La Liga on Saturday.
Jude Bellingham gave Madrid the lead in the first half before Alex Calatrava equalised for Espanyol.
Substitute Carlos Espi then struck in the 90th minute to secure all three points for Mourinho’s side.
Mourinho returned to Madrid 13 years after leaving the club and faces the task of rebuilding the team after a difficult previous season.
The Portuguese coach started with Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Bellingham, while new signings Bernardo Silva, Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate also made their debuts.

Bellingham opened the scoring when he headed home Arda Guler’s dangerous free-kick.
Espanyol responded in the 30th minute, with Calatrava finishing Javi Hernandez’s cut-back after a well-worked move.
Mbappe came close to restoring Madrid’s lead, but Espanyol goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic denied the French forward.
Mourinho introduced Yan Diomande and Marc Cucurella in the final 25 minutes as Madrid pushed for a winner.
Federico Valverde also came close but saw his low effort strike the outside of the post.
Madrid finally found the breakthrough in the 90th minute when Espi capitalised on a loose ball inside the box and fired home.
The victory gives Mourinho a winning start as he begins his bid to challenge Barcelona’s dominance in Spanish football.
Elsewhere, Sevilla defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-1, while Valencia and Celta Vigo played out a goalless draw.
