International flights from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport will resume on Saturday, according to Iran’s ISNA news agency, days after the country began reopening its airspace.

The first scheduled outbound services are expected to operate to Istanbul and Muscat.

Authorities last week also announced that Mashhad airport, serving Iran’s second-largest city in the northeast, would reopen on Monday.

Flight-tracking data on Friday showed at least two international departures from Mashhad, with flights to Turkey and Oman.
