President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Kabo Ward, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The primary election took place on Saturday at the APC secretariat in the ward, which is the home ward of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.

According to the party’s returning officer, Umar Mohammadu Rabiu, Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Osifo Osayamen Stanley, who scored zero votes in the exercise. Rabiu also stated that out of 1,007 eligible voters in the ward, only three did not participate in the primary. He went further to express satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election.
Also, in a statement issued by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Barau described the turnout as a strong sign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“With the massive turnout of party members, Insha Allah, the coast is clear for the victory of President Tinubu come January 16th, 2027, when the Independent National Electoral Commission will conduct the presidential and National Assembly elections,” he said.

Deputy Senate President appreciated party members for what he described as the massive turnout and orderly conduct during the election.
