US President Donald Trump is giving diplomatic negotiations with Iran “some space” while maintaining full military readiness in the region, US UN Ambassador Mike Waltz stated Sunday.
Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” Waltz confirmed a pause following 13 consecutive nights of American airstrikes, noting that while Trump is providing room for talks, the military continues to deploy additional assets and stands ready to launch further attacks.
Waltz also forcefully rejected reports suggesting the US military is rationing munitions due to critical supply shortages.
Addressing the allegations on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the envoy acknowledged that former President Joe Biden depleted stockpiles before leaving office but insisted current forces possess everything required to execute the campaign effectively.

Waltz dismissed claims of ongoing ammunition constraints as false leaks, asserting that individuals disseminating the reports deserve imprisonment.
