(VIDEO) BREAKING: Abducted Ekiti Students Regain Freedom

The abducted students of Apostolic Faith Group of Schools Emure Ekiti, Southwest Nigeria have been released this morning.

The Ekiti students and their teachers regained their freedom around 2.00 a.m on Sunday after seven days in captivity.

News Central gathered that the school bus driver, Taye Omo Rasaki was killed by the kidnappers.

The freed pupils and their teachers were seen on the floor, looking exhausted as a mother lamented the condition of her child in a video.

The kidnappers had requested N100 million as ransom for the release of the victims.

A school bus with 10 occupants – six students, three teachers, and the driver were abducted and whisked away was after being ambushed by armed men on Monday evening.

Rumours spread on Saturday that the kidnappers had been killed and victims rescued. However, a community leader and the state police Spokesperson debunked it.
