Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has revealed that the club is already hard at work preparing for next season, despite their recent Premier League title triumph.
The Reds will celebrate their league victory with an open-top bus parade through the streets of Liverpool on Monday, with huge crowds expected to join the festivities.
However, Werner emphasised that the focus is firmly on the future, with reports suggesting the club is close to securing three high-profile signings worth a combined £200 million.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is reportedly finalising a switch to Anfield as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is expected to leave. In addition, Leverkusen’s midfield star Florian Wirtz is said to have chosen Liverpool as his next destination should he depart Germany this summer.
Wirtz, 22, could break the current Premier League transfer record of £115 million, which was set by Chelsea’s signing of Moisés Caicedo.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth’s Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez is also reportedly interested in a £50 million move to Merseyside.
“It’s already busy,” Werner told reporters. “We go again. Winning never gets old. We owe it to our supporters to return with an even stronger side next season.”
Arne Slot, in his debut season as Liverpool manager, led the team to the title despite limited spending last summer. The club’s only signing during his tenure was Federico Chiesa, who has yet to make a significant impact in the first team.
Werner praised the Dutchman’s leadership and credited him with maximising the squad’s potential.
“We obviously had high expectations, but Arne has been outstanding,” he said. “As far as I know, only three managers have won the Premier League in their first season, and Arne is now one of them. He’s a remarkable leader.”
“He’s authentic and isn’t trying to imitate anyone else. The team was already full of quality, but he managed to bring out the very best in them.”
