Amber alerts have been issued due to an ongoing heatwave affecting several provinces, including Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, and Marrakech in Morocco. The extreme temperatures, in some areas soaring above 45 degrees Celsius, have raised serious health concerns, particularly for vulnerable groups.
Alerts are also in place for Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Larache, Ouezzane, and Tata.
The heatwave is expected to persist through Sunday and Monday in multiple regions.

The meteorology directorate has urged residents to take necessary precautions during the intense heat.
It is a different experience, however, for coastal provinces and cities like Rabat and Casablanca, which have seen some relief in recent days, with breezy conditions keeping temperatures between 25 and 27 degrees.
