Afrobeats superstar Davido (David Adeleke) will address journalists and members of the public today, where he will speak on security, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) preparedness and other key issues ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
According to an invitation issued on Tuesday, the press conference will take place at 11 a.m. at Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.
Announcing the briefing on X, Davido wrote, “I will be having a press conference tomorrow at Imole House, Osogbo, to discuss security, INEC and transparency issues.”

Davido, who was recently appointed Chairman of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Committee for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign, will address concerns over security, electoral transparency and other major issues ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
The campaign invitation described the event as “Davido addresses issues (security, INEC transparency and other major issues) surrounding Osun 2026 gubernatorial election.”
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking a second term in the August 15 governorship election. His nephew, Afrobeats star Davido, has been actively involved in the campaign, leading youth mobilisation efforts and taking part in several political events across the state.
