Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has achieved another career milestone after her hit single, “Bloody Samaritan”, earned a Silver Certification in the United Kingdom (UK).

The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), recognising the song’s commercial success.

The song was released in 2021 as part of Ayra Starr’s debut album, 19 & Dangerous, under Mavin Records.

The afrobeats sensation joins a list of Nigerian stars whose works have received UK silver certifications, including Burna Boy’s “African Giant”, “Twice As Tall and Love”, “Damini”, Asake’s recognition for Work of Art and the chart-topping single “Lonely At The Top”, and Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos”.

Other Nigerian artistes are: Davido’s “Timeless”, Tems’ “Born in the Wild”, Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone”, and Rema’s “Rave & Roses. CKay also secured the silver certification for his global hit single, “Love Nwantiti.”
