The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject them through its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
In a statement posted on its X ( formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, the board said affected candidates now have until November 30, 2026, to indicate whether they wish to accept or decline their offers.

JAMB advised candidates with pending admissions to log into their CAPS accounts and make their decisions before the new deadline.
The board warned that any outstanding offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected after November 30 will automatically be changed to “Not Admitted” on its records.
“JAMB has extended the deadline for affected candidates to 30 November 2026 to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers on CAPS.
“After 30 November, outstanding offers that have neither been accepted nor rejected will revert to ‘Not Admitted’ on JAMB’s records,” it said.
It also cautioned candidates against waiting until the final days to act.
The extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which JAMB announced on August 30 for candidates with admission offers dating from 2021.
The board had initially set August 31 as the deadline before extending it to September 30.
In its previous announcement, JAMB said candidates who accepted their offers could proceed to print and obtain their admission letters, while those who rejected them would have their dashboards updated to “Not Admitted”.
It also explained that candidates who had transferred to another institution or programme could accept an earlier outstanding offer and then apply for the relevant correction or deletion, where necessary.
Candidates admitted during the 2026 admission exercise who still had previous offers pending were also allowed to reject the earlier offers without affecting their current admission.
Under the latest extension, however, candidates who fail to respond to their 2021- 2025 offers by November 30 will have them reverted to “Not Admitted”.
JAMB said any later request to update such an admission would attract the applicable penalty fee.
The board urged all affected candidates to review their CAPS accounts and take the necessary action before the revised deadline.
