Jay-Z Sexual Assault Accuser Admits False Claims

A woman who accused Jay-Z of sexual assault has admitted making false claims against the rapper, according to a court filing.

According to AFP, in a new court document seen on Friday, she said she had never met or spoken to Jay-Z.

The woman had alleged that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulted her after the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000.

She claimed the alleged assault happened when she was 13.

“I have never met or spoken to Mr Carter. Mr Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct towards me,” she stated.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, had previously described the allegations as a “fictional tale.”

The woman later dropped her civil lawsuit against Jay-Z and Combs in 2025.

In the latest filing, she said her claims against Carter were untrue.

“There is no truth to any of my claims against Mr Carter,” she stated.

She also said her accusations had caused Jay-Z “immense pain, suffering and damage.”

Jay-Z’s lawyers filed the statement as part of a counter-lawsuit against the woman and her lawyers.

That case is now being dismissed.

The woman said she made the complaint after seeing a Facebook advertisement seeking people with sexual assault claims against Combs.

She said the advert triggered memories of an alleged sexual assault when she was 13.

According to the court document, she then contacted a law firm.

The woman also said she could not recall giving lawyers permission to file the complaint in 2024.

She later withdrew the lawsuit after developing “doubts” about her claims.

The partially redacted document also refers to the woman’s reported mental health difficulties.

However, the latest filing does not establish that those difficulties caused her allegations.

Combs has faced several allegations in recent years and is currently serving a prison sentence after being convicted on prostitution-related charges.
