Gunmen killed at least 20 people in an attack on a rural village in Taraba State, residents told AFP on Saturday, though police put the death toll at 10.
The attack occurred on Friday in Binnari, a community in Taraba.
“Some people were still missing,” resident Sa’idu Nuhu said.
Nuhu and another local, Isiyaku Musa, both estimated at least 20 people were killed.
Police confirmed 10 fatalities.
