Flights between Tehran and Dubai will resume on Monday following a temporary suspension during the recent Middle East conflict, according to Iranian state media.

The reopening comes just weeks after Iranian drone and missile strikes hit targets within the United Arab Emirates.

Ramin Kashefazar, the head of Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport, confirmed that authorities have finalised the necessary arrangements to reopen the route.

Travellers can already purchase tickets on Sepehran Airlines’ website for Monday morning’s scheduled departure to Dubai.

The resumption follows a highly destructive period in the conflict where Iranian drones repeatedly targeted Dubai Airport, forcing frequent flight suspensions.

One early wartime video captured a drone crashing near the passenger concourse, and Iran actively launched these missile and drone strikes across the Gulf to retaliate against US-Israeli attacks, though Tehran claimed it targeted American assets rather than civilian infrastructure.

The conflict severely damaged regional aviation, causing international passenger numbers at Dubai Airport—previously the world’s busiest—to plunge 66 per cent year-on-year.

A ceasefire has successfully halted the broader war since April, despite occasional exchanges of gunfire.

Currently, the United States and Iran are navigating a 60-day negotiation period to secure a lasting peace deal, allowing critical commercial corridors like the Tehran-Dubai route to slowly reopen.
