Tinubu Appoints Fayose REA Chairman

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of 26 individuals to lead 10 federal agencies and commissions on Monday, placing former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga announced the immediate implementation of the leadership changes across key national institutions.

The administrative overhaul includes Major General Junaid Bindawa as chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission, alongside former lawmaker Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas as commission secretary.

Tinubu also appointed new leaders for several key energy and fiscal bodies, naming Dr. Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc and Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.

Additionally, the President redeployed Tosin Johnson Adeyanju to serve as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission and named Dr. Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission.

Further appointments filled leadership vacancies at the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, the Federal Housing Authority, and the National Commission for Mass Literacy.
