Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan Dies at 66

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died at the age of 66 after battling cancer, his family confirmed on Sunday.

The actor’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death in a tearful video that circulated on social media, saying repeatedly, “My daddy is dead.”

The development comes days after Kira and her sister, Haleemah, revealed that their father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and appealed for public support as the family sought treatment options.

Hassan was well known in the Nigerian film industry, especially for his roles in Yoruba-language films.
