Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes earned the PFA Player of the Year award on Tuesday, while Manchester City forward Khadija Shaw captured the women’s award for the second time.

Fernandes claimed the honour after a record-breaking 2025/26 season, setting an all-time Premier League assist record with 21 setup passes alongside nine goals to guide United into the Champions League.

“It is obviously a very proud moment,” Fernandes remarked. “They are the ones you go on the pitch against, and it’s probably not easy to vote for someone you play against.”
