The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, has presented a commemorative plaque to the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of News Central, Kayode Akintemi.
Disu presented the plaque during a courtesy visit by the News Central team to the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday ahead of the All Political National Chairmen’s Dialogue scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The dialogue, themed “The 2027 Question: What Will It Take to Get the Election Right?”, will bring together key stakeholders, including political leaders, electoral observers, representatives of the electoral commission, members of the media and the public.
Chairmen of political parties contesting the Nigeria 2027 election are expected to address concerns and discuss solutions to some of the country’s most pressing challenges.
Wednesday’s engagement with the police leadership also provided an opportunity for interaction between News Central’s management and the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force.
