News Central will host a Diaspora Town Hall in New York, bringing together Nigerians in the diaspora for an open and informed conversation on the proposed diaspora voting bill.
The town hall is scheduled for Saturday, 26 September 2026, at Sinatra, Jay Suites, 15 W. 38th St., New York, USA. The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. WAT).
The conversation will examine what diaspora voting could mean for Nigeria’s electoral process, while exploring the prospects, practical considerations, and challenges involved in enabling Nigerians living abroad to participate in the country’s elections.

Diaspora voting has become an important part of conversations around political participation and electoral inclusion in Nigeria.
