Spain Dominate FIFA World Cup Team of Tournament

World champions Spain have the highest number of players in FIFA‘s Team of the Tournament following their triumph at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA unveiled the official XI after the tournament, held across the United States, Canada and Mexico, naming standout performers in a 4-3-3 formation.

Spain contributed three players to the team, with full-backs Marc Cucurella and Pedro Porro joined by midfielder Rodri after their key roles in the country’s title-winning campaign.

France also had three representatives despite finishing short of the final, with Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and defender Dayot Upamecano making the selection.

Runners-up Argentina produced two players, as captain Lionel Messi and defender Lisandro Martínez were included in the team.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham and Norway striker Erling Haaland also earned places following impressive performances during the tournament.

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha completed the XI after emerging as one of the competition’s surprise performers.
