Alcaraz, Sabalenka Advance at US Open

Defending champions Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the US Open fourth round with decisive straight-set victories on Friday.

Alcaraz defeated China’s Wu Yibing 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 to set up a last-16 clash with American Tommy Paul.

Top-seeded Sabalenka fired 29 winners and 10 aces to eliminate Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 6-4, securing a matchup against Taylor Townsend.

In other singles action, Americans Jessica Pegula, Frances Tiafoe, Emma Navarro, and Ben Shelton earned victories, while Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev also progressed.
