West Ham Beat Wolves 4-2 for First Win

Manchester City loanee Divine Mukasa scored twice to guide West Ham to a 4-2 victory over Wolves at the London Stadium, securing the Hammers’ first Championship win of the season.

Mukasa opened the scoring with a brilliant strike into the top corner before Jarrod Bowen doubled the lead from the penalty spot.

Although Marshall Munetsi pulled one back for Wolves, Mukasa added his second via a deflection, and Konstantinos Mavropanos netted West Ham’s fourth before later scoring an own goal.

The result lifts Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to 11th in the table, while Wolves drop to third.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Swansea climbed to the top of the table after a 2-0 victory over Watford, powered by goals from Eom Ji-sung and Adam Idah.

Meanwhile, Birmingham halted Southampton’s momentum, holding the Saints to a 1-1 draw despite Keven Schlotterbeck’s opening header, as August Priske levelled for the Blues in the second half.

In the day’s other action, Bristol City moved up to fifth place after claiming a 3-1 road win against bottom-ranked Preston.

Sheffield United also earned a dramatic victory, beating Bolton 3-2 courtesy of a stoppage-time winner from Romelle Donovan.
