Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has secured a landslide victory over his opponent, Stanley Osifo, in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held on Saturday.
According to the ruling party, Tinubu polled 10,999,160 votes, while his opponent, Osifo, got 16,503 votes.
The party announced the results of the presidential primary election at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre after collating the results across all 36 states of the country.
Party leaders and the President’s supporters graced the event on Sunday.
Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said on Saturday that the President will receive the certificate of return and the APC party flag as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election on Sunday.
