The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed September 19, 2026, for the conduct of five by-elections across four states.

The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Tunde Oketola, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

Oketola said the elections would cover one national and four state constituencies.

The national constituency is Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Constituency in Gombe State.

The four state constituencies are Disina and Sakwa in Bauchi State, Udu in Delta State and Dawakin Kudu in Kano State.

The elections will fill the vacant seats in the affected constituencies.
